Job Description - Management Accountant

About The Role In this role, you will oversee the financial performance management of organisational business units. This entails assisting in budget and forecast preparation, compiling management accounting entries, and delivering timely financial performance reports to the organisation. Work type: Permanent, full-time position Classification: Band 6 ($90,263 - $97,365) Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing monthly variance analysis on actual v budget, forecast v budget etc.
  • Completing month end close activity support such as processing journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Providing analytical support and performance management advice to business units including budget forecast and operating performance.
  • Utilising, transforming, and reporting data to support decision making.
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Involvement in external audit process and compliance reporting.
  • Providing expertise in the resolution of cost allocation issues.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have sound experience in financial management and analysis. Essential Experience:
  • Sound understanding of financial software systems and proficient in the use of enterprise financial systems (e.g., Oracle Financials).
  • Tertiary qualification, or studying towards one, in finance, business management or other relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualification as a CPA/CA or equivalent (desirable)
  • Highly developed analytical and investigative skills
  • Ability to effectively engage across all levels of an organisations.
