Job Summary:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Mental Health and Disability Support Workers in Rossmore, New South Wales. As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance and care to individuals with mental health issues and disabilities in a community setting. This role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to support clients in achieving their goals for independence and wellbeing.

- Empathy and understanding towards individuals with mental health issues

- Ability to remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities:

- Providing emotional support to clients experiencing mental health challenges

- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

- Implementing individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals

- Encouraging clients to participate in social activities within the community

- Monitoring client progress towards their goals and reporting any concerns or changes in behavior

Qualifications:

- Certificate III or IV in Mental Health or Disability Support (or willingness to obtain)

- Previous experience working with individuals with mental health issues or disabilities is preferred but not required (entry-level position)

- Current First Aid/CPR certification

- Valid driver's license
