At GenesisCare we want to hear from people who are as passionate as we are about innovation and working together to drive better life outcomes for patients around the world.Your life’s best work!We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager to join our Wesley – Auchenflower and Chermside clinics located in Brisbane.As the Nurse Unit Manager, you are responsible for managing the nursing team at your site to meet the needs of GenesisCare’ s strategy, vision, and values. This is achieved by providing advanced nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive engaged workforce and appropriate resource management to ensure all aspects of legislation are addressed.The Nurse Unit Manager will have an excellent understanding of current trends, research and policies in oncology nursing. The nurse unit manager will work with the centre leader, quality manager and Director of Nursing to ensure evidence based, best practice guidelines are applied.More specifically, you will:Lead the nursing staff as an exemplary role model for the profession of nursing, maintaining a high level of communication.Performance development and performance management, as required.Annual performance development reviews for nursing teamActively support and champion GenesisCare initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency and effectiveness, taking on a leadership role within projects where required.Provide support to the Director of Nursing with the ability to cover during leave periods.Work within a multidisciplinary onsite team including the Centre Leader, Doctors, Physicists, Radiation Therapists, Nursing and Administrative/clerical staff to implement efficient & effective Centre workflow.
