Pre-Sales Solution Architect We are looking to hire a Solution Architect to join our growing team. The Solution Architecture team works in tandem with the Sales team, working with client prospects throughout the pre-sales process. As a Solution Architect you will be leading interactive conversations with prospective clients: demonstrating FINBOURNE products, explaining product features, and most importantly understanding how we can help solve the problems which the client needs us solve. The team is global with presence in our 3 Sales hubs: London, Singapore and New York, and we are now expanding our team to create an additional Sales hub in Australia. This role is highly varied, interacting with clients across the financial services industry from multi-national Asset Managers and Banks, to Hedge Funds and Private Wealth.  Solution Architects at FINBOURNE are an ever present part of the Client’s journey. We work with the client from the initial conversations, through implementation and onboarding, and stay in regular contact with clients to ensure that the solution is meeting their business needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who enjoys building relationships with clients, working in the financial services domain, as well as building technology-based solutions. Key responsibilities: You will be responsible for all Architectural discussions with the prospective clients. Initial discussions will capture the client’s current architecture, operating model and data model. You will work through different strategies with the client, to design a future state architecture which has Data Governance, Quality and Transparency at its core, maximising the benefits of using FINBOURNE’s products. The Solution Architect works with the client to phase deliveries to get early benefits, and de-risk the project delivery from big-bang go lives. Working alongside the rest of the Solution Architecture team, you will curate new demo material, coding against the FINBOURNE APIs primarily in Python and SQL. The team works closely with the FINBOURNE Product team, ensuring that as new product features are delivered on the platform, we can demonstrate these to clients using business use-cases which both technical and non-technical client contacts can understand. In this role you will have the opportunity to make key contributions to the future of the product and shape how our clients interact with LUSID and LUMINESCE our core products. You will also work closely with our Horizon team, FINBOURNE’s partnership model with financial market data providers, service providers and other FinTechs, understanding how this partnership ecosystem can further aid our clients. During the implementation phase you will continue to oversee the Architecture, attending regular FINBOURNE-Client review meetings, to ensure that the original design is being adhered to by the implementation teams, and making any changes to the solution design as required. You will also be involved in any upsell opportunities with the client, identifying additional client businesses which would benefit from our products. Client meetings are both in person and via video conferencing, as such the candidate must be able to work regularly at our New York offices, this is not a fully remote role. What skills, experience and qualifications we require: Our aim is to provide a world class client experience, therefore we are looking for a candidate who has a relentless focus on customer service and engineering quality.  You will need a good understanding of Asset Management, and will have experience in either a Client facing role or facing off to senior management in your organisation. You are equally confident in discussing Business process, Operating models and Technical Architecture.  You will need excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to be able to clearly define and articulate solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences. An understanding of coding principles, and experience of writing code (C#, Python or Java) is required, the majority of the coding is in Python for this role. Experience of working in a financial services firm is required (across either Sell or Buy side), the candidate needs to be confident in discussing financial concepts with clients at COO and CTO level.
