Job Description - Project Coordinator

The Hospital The Royal Children’s Hospital’s (RCH) Vision is “A world where all kids thrive”. RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children’s Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries. The RCH is committed to the Child Safe Standards . About The Role This is a Permanent Full time position that will facilitate the seamless execution of projects from inception to completion. This entails overseeing all aspects of project planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring that deliverables are achieved within stipulated timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role serves as the central point of communication and coordination among team members, stakeholders, and external partners, fostering collaboration and alignment towards project objectives. Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing high-risk assets and coordinating multiple stakeholders effectively within a project management context
  • Proven leadership experience in a team environment and ability to work well as a senior team member
  • Contribute to strategic planning of the Department demonstrated ability to respond flexibly to client needs with the ability to develop practical solutions and provide advice in area of expertise
  • Demonstrate ‘out of box’ thinking for different situations
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to the organisation with demonstrated behaviours that reflect the organisation’s values
  • Demonstrated experience working with initiative, autonomy, and leading others in the pursuit of project and team goals
Your Skills And Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field along and/or relevant industry experience
  • Proven project experience within a large organisation preferably within a construction or engineering environment
  • Experience in continuous project improvement.
  • Proven leadership in a team environment, with an ability to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and people management skills
