Job Description - Project Officer , Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority

What you will do

In this role, you will be expected to perform any combination of the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and undertake the planning and scheduling of key assessment implementation and marking projects and activities to support testing programs administered by the Authority.
  • Develop, manage, review and modify data and spreadsheets to support key operational needs and to meet the changing nature and demands of external assessment functions.
  • Investigate, test and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Prepare and provide advice and assistance to school personnel and other stakeholders on issues relating to the administration, implementation and marking of external assessment.
  • Coordinate, train and mentor team members in processes that support operational aspects of QCAA's external assessment and marking program.
  • Coordinate the operational recruitment processes for casual employees via Assessor Jobs and Marker Admin (markers) by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor the Marker Admin, Reconciliation and EA Logistics Apps and MarkManager online marking platform as required for scheduled marking events.
  • Provide ongoing support pre– and post-marking operations, i.e. monitoring of Helpdesks and onsite administrative duties at external marking operation venues.
  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of marking activity after scheduled events to provide accurate data for the reconciliation of student results.
  • Undertake other relevant duties as directed by Principal Project Officers and/or Managers.
  • Note: Responsibilities may vary depending on which implementation team you are assigned to at any point in
