We recognise that our success depends upon attracting and retaining skilled and talented staff and offer a wide variety of interesting challenges and opportunities to develop your career.Kickstart your engineering career with the council as part of our excellent graduate programAbout the positionThe Graduate Engineer works to assist with Toowoomba Regional Council projects and activities associated with the provision of Engineering Services in Local Salary Range for this position is $61,74231 - $86160 gross per annum plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.4% this position is part of the Council's Generator Program, it is a four (4) year contract and applicants must have graduated in either 2023 or are due to graduate in part of the Councils Generator Program, you will receive enhanced training and development to be successful in this position - Success CriteriaYou will need:The mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Position Success Criteria' in the Position Description (attached).Ability to apply engineering principles, standards and concepts as well as generate technical reports and designs as required.Well-developed analytical and research skills.Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to lead a team, set work program priorities, monitor workflows and establish outcomes to achieve departmental / Council goals.Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.Understanding of and commitment to the Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of to applyTo apply, please submit two documents:A cover letter addressing the 'Position Success Criteria' in the Position Description in two pages or less; andYour current resume.PLEASE NOTE: Your application may not be considered if you do not follow the instructions outlined above.Visit our website for information on how to apply for jobs at Toowoomba Regional Council.
