Part Time – 4 days per week (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and additional day)

The Museum of Brisbane (MoB) is dedicated to celebrating the stories, places, and people of Brisbane.  As the City’s leading social history and art museum, MoB offers a vibrant, inclusive and dynamic program of exhibitions and programs year-round for locals and visitors to the City.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the Visitor Experience Team, providing direction, guidance, support to the team, motivating them to perform at their best, and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Provide the highest quality of customer service for all visitors by promoting an inclusive, accessible, and vibrant environment.
• Coordinating the booking system to ensure all public bookings and enquiries are handled promptly and accurately.
• Produce and manage the monthly roster including backfill for staff. 
• Take all safety measures when performing duties to ensure the safety of yourself and others, and comply with Museum of Brisbane's Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and Government legislation.
• Other duties from time to time as required.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate all or most of the following:

• Proven experience and ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Proven experience in customer service roles.
• Proven experience using relevant software platforms, such as ticketing systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proven experience and ability to work without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable leading others in emergency situations regarding the safety of visitors.

• Blue Card
• First Aid Certificate (provided during the training)
• Floor Warden (provided during the training)
