Key responsibilities

• Conceiving and executing projects aligned with the client's long-term goals.
• Providing advice that spans all layers of the client’s organization, often transcending borders, with a focus on engagements within the European Union’s complex legislative and regulatory framework.
• Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic and tactical counsel up to the executive level, especially in navigating the intricacies of EU public affairs and policy-making processes.
• Synthesizing various EU issues, current geopolitical affairs, and leveraging extensive networks within Brussels and other EU capitals to drive concrete outcomes that benefit both the client and Considerati.
• Growing, leading and mentoring a team of professionals, fostering their development in the nuanced field of EU public policy and ensuring excellence in client service and project execution.

This role requires a deep understanding of the European Union’s political landscape, an ability to connect disparate issues into a cohesive strategy, and the leadership to guide a team in a dynamic and often complex international environment. The Public Affairs Consultant role is characterized by its multifaceted and dynamic nature, requiring a proactive and dedicated approach. Candidates are expected to navigate complex, substantive projects with ease. You will be adept at distinguishing primary concerns from secondary ones for our clients, ensuring they remain concentrated on their core objectives, while providing informed counsel on potential impacts. You will be responsible for managing your projects with conscientious dedication and a strategic boldness, leading client engagements with confidence. As a consultant, your role will be that of a steadfast and knowledgeable counterpart in dealings with a varied client base. You will be instrumental in fostering an environment of positivity and dynamism among your peers.

Required skills

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, European Studies, Law, or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred, with a specialization in European Union Law, Public Policy, or International Affairs.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in EU affairs, public policy, or a related field, ideally in consultancy services.
• Proficiency in English and at least one other EU language (French a plus).
• Demonstrated experience with EU institutions and policymaking processes.
