Job DescriptionSummary:We are looking for a passionate Architect to join the ERP Program where they will have an opportunity to grow their architecture skills while contributing to the major transformational projects for Canada Post!Reporting to the HR Solution Lead (SL) on the Experience Transformation Program, the Business Architect develops a view of business capabilities (organization, processes, products, services, tools, technologies) required to deliver against the business requirements. The Business Architect has a deep knowledge of the business domain that she/he supports and acts as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions. The Business Architect can also support the SL by creating future state business capability models and business value chain models to clarify business needs and expectations. The Business Architect collaborates with the Business Solution Delivery team (“BSD”) and related technical resources to analyze, define, validate and document business requirements. The Business Architect understands the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitates the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders. The Business Architect bridges the needs of the business partners with the use of IT and identify options for designing and improving business systems. This individual understands the customer, business and technology space and is able to capture and communicate the end to end workflows, interactions and end user experience.Duties:Provide leadership in architecture and business capabilities for subdomains of ERP functional area, focusing on the Human Capital Management (HCM) product area, and ensure design is aligned with business requirements in collaboration with the Solution Architect.Mentor and coach less experienced Business Analyst team members in carrying out business analysis related activities, and coordinate and delegate tasks as requiredDefine and utilize relevant business analysis and business architecture techniques and methodologies to perform solution analysis and design, this could include but is not limited to:Develop domain specific roadmaps working closely with Enterprise Architecture (capability mapping methodology)Requirements management (requirements traceability, baselining, etc.)Industry analysis (benchmark studies, , , SWOT, etc.)Requirements elicitation (prototyping, reverse engineering, focus groups, interviews, etc.)Requirements analysis such as analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications (process modeling, organization modeling, use cases, etc.)Solution assessment and validation (IT Reviews, Feasibility Assessments, support of the user acceptance testing, defect and issue reporting, etc.)Drive the definition, design, optimization, improvement, and approved changes to new and existing business processes and IT solutions via development of business and functional requirementsIdentify the current and future-state business processes Help the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to be road mapped and prioritized to support the future Determine operational objectives by studying critical business functions (“CBFs”), gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formatsProvide continuous improvement services to improve existing business processes and inform the Business Solution Delivery leadership team of potential continuous improvement opportunitiesManage process conformance and compliance as appropriate (e.g. PCI) Support change management activities as appropriate Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Support the SL by providing business insight for the development of strategic solutions aligned to architecture, standards, principles and best practicesMust have:Client Management : 5+ years’ experience in effectively interacting and communicating with Human Resource business teams; can consolidate Human Resource business requirements and translate them into IT deliverablesBusiness architecture ; 5+ years’ experience in Human Resource capability mapping to ensure tactical and strategic business goals are addressedBusiness analysis: familiar with business engineering system concepts and principles as well as complex modeling techniques, able to align business unit sub-processes to enterprise business processes and able to lead functional requirement walk through and quality reviewsValue management : can identify the effectiveness and completeness of business and technology strategies and ensure alignment with IT and other applicable cross-organization strategiesDomain knowledge: deep knowledge (5+ years) of business context and mode of operationsLeadership: 8+ years experience managing, mentoring and coaching others.Experience using Jira for Agile software development Proven ability to identify, formalize, and problem solve business needsExperience in contributing to the success of a range of small-to-medium initiatives with escalating levels of complexity and business criticalityNice to Have:Knowledgeable in release / deployment managementExceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.Mature perspective on architecture principles and frameworksUnderstands principles of iterative development, and able to document business requirements as Agile user stories.S4/Hana project experienceExperience in a business analyst role and / or in progressively advancing roles within IT.#CEN24
