Description We will be hiring a Cost Estimator to perform quantity surveys and to work with the Allyant Estimating Team, Project Teams and sub-contractors to estimate cost of work for various ICI construction projects. The work environment is highly collaborative and team oriented. Cost Estimator responsibilities include working closely with the Allyant Team and subcontractors to prepare estimates for all construction divisions, including general accounts. You will perform various coordinating tasks, including estimating project schedule, resource needs, risk management, detailed quantity surveys, cost breakdowns, review of trade pricing, terms and conditions, negotiation, and all related pre-construction estimating functions. To succeed in this role, you should have an excellent understanding of costing for all construction divisions, the desire to work both independently and within a team environment, and the ability to work within tight timelines to meet tender submission targets.   Requirements Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications for ICI projects . Ability to conduct measurements and take off from plans. Experience with computerised take off software or CAD. Experience with spreadsheets such as Excel.          Preparation of tender submittal documents (Tender Forms)   Fundamental knowledge of construction contracts such as CCDC 2 and 5. Ability to Instruct and coordinate subcontractors in preparing tender quotations Analyze subcontractor quotations. Prepare and maintain supplier and subcontractor directory. Prepare and maintain cost data base. Required to work after hours when needed   Education & Credentials A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in ICI projects CEC certification or Gold Seal, or equivalent Competencies  Critical thinking and problem solving Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Adaptability Flexibility Strong Negotiation Skills
