Contractor - Accountant

Description We are seeking talented Senior Accountant for a promising position with our growing client based in Delta, BC! If you have a knack for adaptability and excel in accounting, this role could be the perfect fit for you. This is a long-term contract which requires on-site work due to the nature of the role. This is due to our client's remote location, which is not easily accessible via public transportation. Responsibilities

• Recording and reconciling intercompany and related-party transactions in a multi-currency environment
• Performing various reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
• Preparing consolidated financial statements for nine entities and assisting with note disclosures and supporting documentation
• Conducting financial reporting variance analysis
• Liaising with external auditors and assisting with quarterly and year-end audits
• Providing financial information to both external and internal stakeholders
• Assisting with budget planning
• Assisting with tax filings
• Maintaining financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls

Requirements

• Must have CPA designation or equivalent
• Must be eligible to work in BC and currently located in BC
• 5+ years experience working in multi-currency environments
• 5+ years experience with complex intercompany reconciliations
• 5+ years of financial reporting experience
