Peace River School Division requires for the 2024-2025 school year aFull-Time Generalist Teacher at at Worsley Central SchoolWorsley is a small farming community in northern Alberta located about 170 kms west of Peace River. Worsley School serves students from grades K-12. One Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Generalist Teacher isrequired commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 30, 2025. The initial assignment may include Language Arts and Social Studies (grades 6-9) as well as Phys. Ed (grades K-12). Some flexibility in assignment exists depending on the successful applicant's talents and interests. Qualifications: Experience and/or knowledge or experience working with multi-grade classrooms Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success Proven ability to differentiate lessons and assessment to support students’ achievement Skills: Strong classroom management skills Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parent Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment An understanding of rural community and culture Willingness to support school sports programs and/or coaching is considered an asset. Division housing may be available for Worsley Central School staff.
