GUILLOTINE OPERATOR SUMMARY: To operate guillotine cutting station, learn material handling, machine maintenance and job production.

Responsibilities

· Setup, maintain and operate paper guillotine equipment.

· Execute paper finishing tasks in a priority sequence provided by production management.

· Examine printed work for defects or anomalies that are substandard to the company’s quality standards.

· Maintain a tidy and organized work area.

· Log and record time/supplies used on each job through job logging software.

· Meet productivity goals when proper training is completed.

· Follow all company policies and procedures.

· Not limited to duties as described above.

Requirements

Skills and Physical Requirement

· Must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act).

· Respects individuals, the organization, authority, the community, and the team.

· Can work in teams.

· Ability to adapt.

· Ability to take initiative.

· Ability to attend work on time.

· Good communication skills.

· Good physical condition and capable of lifting up to 50lbs.

· Strong technical trouble-shooting skills.

Qualifications and Education

· Grade 12 or acceptable experience.

· On-the-job training required and/or related experience operating guillotine, or other equipment utilized at Battlefield Press.
