Manager, Financial Reporting

Description Our esteemed client, situated in North Vancouver, a rapidly expanding and on-the-rise Transport and shipbuilding company is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting to join their dynamic team. This 18-month contract will be reporting to the Sr Manager, Financial Reporting, duties include:

• Preparation of the monthly consolidated and combined financial reporting, and completion of journal entries, consolidation, reporting, variance and account analyses, and complex account reconciliations
• Working closely with their ERP system (SAP Bi, JDE, Power BI) – follows process, identify issues, ensuring all is following suit – maintaining regular cadence of monthly close activities and operating business closes
• Reviews monthly working papers and variance analysis to ensure accurate and timeline monthly financial reporting
• Manage fixed asset ledger for the group of companies
• Consolidating 20 active operating entities

Requirements The successful candidate brings:

• CPA
• 5+ years of experience within Financial Reporting & managing staff
• PP experience – working in Big 4
• Deep understanding of ERP systems – need to understand consolidation, understand how system gathers data and presents it accordingly
• Candidate from mining, construction, or any industry with multiple subsidiaries
• From a larger company, understands working with multiple subsidiaries and entities, managed complex consolidations
• Someone who can work independently, self-starter, and initiative driven
• JD Edwards, SAP Bi, Power BI experience
