Mechanical Designer

Description: Our client working in the industrial sector is looking to add a new member to their team, primarily focused in the Revit, MEP and BIM management space. This individual will specialize in working within Revit, taking electrical engineering drawings and designs and implementing them into BIM cloud. They will be required to create libraries, design tools and oversee the 3d design of their systems with Revit. Candidates must have exposure to both Revit and MEP and have been using this on a daily basis. Typical responsibilities will include being a modeler in Revit, but also overseeing the BIM management. This specific client is in the midst of completing a massive rail construction project, specifically working on integrating the electrical and control systems. This individual will act as a conduit between the other companies supporting the program. Revit at times will have an open design where all the other companies have access to the drawing files so they will need to understand how to integrate designs within while things are changing on the fly. MUST HAVES: Completion of a Computer Aided Design and Drafting Diploma from a polytechnic institution (B.C.I.T, Kwantlen or equivalent)3+ years in a drawing production position using Revit. 3+ years with AutoCAD, MS office suite. 3+ years working knowledge with electrical engineering and construction industry. Consistent track record showcasing the ability to prioritize work and adhere to deadline NICE TO HAVE: Dynamo programming experience: customization language that REVIT uses. If there isn't a command in Revit you use Dynamo to create it to create custom scripts to automate these steps. Experience working with the AutoDesk family of products (AutoDesk Construction).
