Physiotherapist

Enhance Ability is a private practice Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy provider with 15 years of service in Prince Edward Island. We are looking for a registered Physiotherapist to be a three day per week addition to our team (0.6 FTE). The successful candidate will provide on-site Physiotherapy services in Montague, PE.

The Physiotherapist is responsible for administrative and supervisory duties; assesses, diagnoses and treats various conditions/disabilities affecting the musculoskeletal, cardio-respiratory and/or neurological systems of the body for the purpose of reducing or alleviating movement/motor dysfunctions to facilitate a patient's recovery and return to optimal functioning.

Job Duties:

• Providing physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients with various disabilities/conditions of muscle, nerve, cardiorespiratory, motor or movement dysfunctions;
• Supervising, guiding and appraising the performance of Rehab Assistants;
• providing guidance in the management and prioritization of the caseload within the facility of assignment
• recording assessments, progress notes and discharges;
• participating in case conferences and discharge activities with other health care professionals;
• evaluating patient care plans;
• drafting correspondence, reports, and maintaining professional records

Education:

• Successful completion of a Master's Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
• Must be eligible for licensing with the Prince Edward Island College of Physiotherapists.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and case management expertise.
• Experience practicing as a Physiotherapist is an asset
