Job Description - Research Content Manager

IDC Canada is seeking a Research Content Manager who is highly organized and detail-oriented to oversee the delivery of research content for our new digital platform that addresses the evolving needs of enterprise technology buyers . You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality research is transformed into engaging content and delivered on a tight schedule.

The ideal candidate will be in the Greater Toronto Area and will be required to come to IDC's Toronto office 1 day per week (hybrid). We will also consider qualified candidates for 100% remote in an approved Canada location (Alberta, British Columbia and Nova Scotia).

  • Collaborate with the research, technology, and product teams to develop a research content plan for our digital platform.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, including resource allocation plans.
  • Manage project scope and ensure deliverables meet all quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project timelines.
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration between all team members involved in the content creation process.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress, identify roadblocks, and implement solutions.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among company wide, stakeholders, and other relevant parties, including the creation of project reports and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for research dissemination and digital content creation.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Research Methods, Project Management)
  • 6+ years of total experience, including 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a research or content creation environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledgeable about technology markets and/or industry to enable partnering with tech analysts on developing their research plans .
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies and digital content creation best practices.
  • A passion for research and its effective communication to a digital audience.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Experience managing content delivery for a digital platform a plus.
