The Health, Social and Communities Division within the Office of the Treasury Board is offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the province's fiscal strategy. Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $76,231.00 to $109,842.00 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

What can I expect to do in this role?
You will: • research, analyze and coordinate information and advise on complex economic, fiscal and related policy issues • provide advice on the business planning, estimates and budget process • prepare, coordinate, and present on a wide range of complex policy and fiscal issues through verbal presentations and briefing notes • Work across divisions and ministries in a highly collaborative team environment to provide integrated advice to support government decision-making.

• you have demonstrated knowledge of economic and financial theories, principles and practices • you have an understanding of public policy development and decision-making • you have an awareness of the government's fiscal and expenditure structure and programs
Communication, Presentation, Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills
• you can prepare and present various documents, such as presentations, briefing materials and correspondence • you have demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills • you can build effective working relationships and participate in projects as part of a team
Analytical, Problem Solving, Research and Computer Skills
• you have demonstrated analytical, problem solving, research and organizational skills • you are able to research, coordinate and provide input/advice on options on a range of complex economic and fiscal issues • you are proficient with database applications and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets and graphics (e.g. MS Office including, Excel)
