Job Description - Strategic HR : Talent Acquisition / Executive Assistant - Immediate Start

Reporting to a Senior Manager, the primary function of this position is to provide assistance with the management of all Recruitment related activities and in particular a specific recruitment portfolio. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain oversight of the recruitment and selection process in a manner that is consistent with A Berger's policies and procedures and industry/Recruitment best practices Maintain a high degree of confidentiality, decision-making discretion (within established protocol and guidelines), tact and judgement Conduct research and implement sourcing strategies for positions including professional association job boards, data mining Develop and deploy passive and active position-targeted search strategies such as talent / data mining, search engine optimization, social media, Boolean search, referrals Research, recommend and develop talent pipelines for specific positions Develop candidate profile to determine best technical and organizational fit for the role Craft suitable job postings for targeting the appropriate candidate demographic Short-list and pre-qualify candidates based on candidate profile, consistent with A Berger's policies and procedures Develop and recommend interview questions, including behavioural questions, to ensure relevant information, as indicated by the candidate profile, is gathered to make an informed hiring decision Participate in assessment processes including interviews as a subject matter expert and a representative of the Human Resources Department Assist the Senior Management Team with special recruitment campaigns and projects Collect, analyse and complete reports on talent acquisition KPIs, metrics and trends to determine effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies and initiatives and recommend improvements or new initiatives as appropriate Research and stay informed of labour market trends Deliver training sessions on the talent acquisition process and facilitate orientation sessions for new hires Conduct reference checks Coordinate required activities to promote the A Berger brand at job fairs and ongoing outreach recruitment programs Provide advice and Recruitment support to clients in relation to relevant Human Resources policies and procedures Maintain recruitment files and follow-up systems Participate in networking events, workshops and seminars to maintain and develop subject matter knowledge, expertise and best practices Perform other duties as assigned or required Willing to grow in reach and responsibility with A Berger, as career opportunities present themselves As the Executive Assistant , you are resourceful, independent, and quick to problem-solve, often identifying issues before they arise. You can operate discreetly and with integrity for both big-picture and day-to-day tasks. You are an entrepreneurial, growth-focused individual who is comfortable in a fast-paced and intellectual environment. Facilitating the management of an active calendar of professional and personal appointments. Executing general activities, including running errands, package dropoff and pickup, preparing in-person meetings, and coordinating vendors. Managing property management duties, researching vendors for new projects, and maintaining services for multiple locations. Assisting with event planning, including vendor management, logistics coordination, budget management, invitation management, and seamless execution. Coordinating travel logistics by making all necessary arrangements, such as booking flights, hotels, cars, and other travel-related reservations, and creating itineraries. Criteria: Minimum University Degree, with specialization in Human Resource Management or equivalent program(s) or an equivalent combination of education, training and Recruitment experience considered an asset Minimum 5 years of related experience conducting full-cycle recruitment activities in a similar industry Experience with contemporary strategic talent sourcing, outreach, and selection using a variety of active and passive sourcing approaches to attract and hire top talent Extensive computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Proven ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities Excellent problem-solving, time-management and organizational skills Excellent client-service orientation with the ability to effectively perform the recruitment challenge function Attention to detail Ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Certified Human Resources designation an asset Position may require participation in events such as job fairs In-depth experience with ATS Recruitment software would be considered an asset Open to travel to meet / conduct interviews, if necessary Working knowledge of German is an asset A Berger is proud to offer equal employment opportunities where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
