Job Description - Regional Marketing Manager, North America Retail

We are seeking a leader for our North American regional marketing for our retail products, reporting to the VP, Global Marketing. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of ESG’s marketing strategy for North America retail energy and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Multi-channel campaigns – Create and execute targeted, thematic marketing campaigns that span digital platforms (website, social media, email marketing), content marketing (blogs, case studies, white papers), and both industry and company-driven events.
  • Campaign themes and messaging – Use an understanding of market issues, customer challenges, and ESG’s unique business value to create innovative campaign themes and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
  • Full buyer’s journey – Create programs to generate new demand and nurture leads across the buyer’s journey.
  • SEO & SEM – Contribute to the development of search engine marketing, SEO, and PPC strategies for the region.
  • Account-based marketing (ABM) – Develop and execute ABM campaigns that increase close rates and up-sell/cross-sell in strategic accounts.
  • Event strategy – Identify, prioritize, and strategize presence at industry events. Develop strategies to break through in a crowded marketplace. Provide in-person support for marketing events and exhibitions as needed.
  • Performance metrics & KPIs – Track and analyze performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns. Monitor overall KPI metrics against targets and generate monthly and quarterly overall metrics reports.
  • Planning – Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans spanning multiple marketing channels.
  • Budget – Develop the regional marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across marketing channels. Maximize and optimize budget spend without exceeding budget. Process and approve purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Execution – Utilize tools to ensure that project tasks are reviewed and completed as planned.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to prioritize and develop effective lead generation and sales enablement activities.
  • "Voice of the region” – Closely understand the unique needs of your sales team, prospects and customers; advocate to the rest of the marketing organization for campaigns, content, product launches and sales enablement to meet those needs.
  • Continuous flow – Ensure a steady flow of new content, social media, and marketing campaigns that engage audiences.
  • Website and social media posting – Post content to website (product pages, careers, news etc), social media and advertising channels.
  • Vendor relationships – Manage relationships with third party agencies, freelancers, and suppliers. Ensure that deliverables meet specifications for quality, budget and timeliness.
  • Leadership – Lead and mentor a small team, driving continual performance improvement and growth. Delegate tasks and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment with the wider marketing team.
  • Corporate communications - Promote ESG events and corporate activities (such as staff and charitable events) via social media and internal communication channels.
  • Benchmarking – Benchmark against direct competitors and best-in-class marketers to utilize new and creative marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels.

  • A good work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Hubspot, Wordpress, Google Analytics as well as basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Adaptable with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
