About the job

• As a Data Scientist, you will join a smaller data science and data engineering team of 3 people, and be part of a larger development team that includes UX/UI designers, DevOps, full-stack developers, and more. We are a tight group of people who love building products that delight customers.

• The way of work is a hybrid, where the team is working from the office 3 of the 5 days a week. This gives us the option to brainstorm together on a whiteboard and provides flexibility for the team. The position is, therefore, local and isn’t a remote position.

Objectives of this Role

• Design, develop and benchmark AI and Machine Learning models which will be deployed in production.
• Extract, clean, transform, and analyze production data to generate high-impact business insights.
• Communicate with colleagues from the development team as well as other departments to align focuses of the Data Science team with the company’s general strategic goals. For example, you will be translating non-technical business requests into Data Science tasks, and explaining the outcoming data insights to both business-oriented and engineering-oriented colleagues.

The ideal candidate

Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, as well as Data Science and Machine Learning libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn.
• Experience training models with TensorFlow.
• Good knowledge of basic statistical concepts and methods.
• Excellent communication skills and agility in a working environment with colleagues with diverse backgrounds and expertise.
• Having a curious spirit into how Data Science can fundamentally change the way e-commerce personalization evolves in the future, as well as a practical mindset on solving problems in the most efficient way.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Image Recognition and/or Natural Language Processing techniques in AI and Machine Learning.
• Experience with GitHub and version control workflow.
