Job Description - HR Student Assistant

Are you passionate about Human Resources and as enthusiastic about people as we are? Are you eager to gain practical experience while pursuing your studies? If so, keep on reading!

We are currently looking for a new HR Student Assistant at A. Espersen A/S – one of Europe’s leading private label producers in the Frozen fish category. In this role, you will be working from our headquarter in Kastrup where you will be working closely with our HR team in supporting daily operations and contribute to ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment.

This position provides a unique opportunity to acquire practical HR experience through a blend of routine and novel tasks. As you establish your role and routines, you will have the opportunity to engage in various HR projects and manage ongoing tasks in collaboration with both your team and stakeholders. Your daily tasks will be coordinated together with your leader, who is our Senior HR Business Partner.

Furthermore, you can expect to improve your HR skills with tasks such as:

  • Contract management (creation of employment contracts, addenda and other employment documents)
  • Support our on- and offboarding processes
  • Recruitment support (creating job ads, post jobs, screening of candidates, schedule interviews with candidates and coordinate interviews with hiring manager)
  • Update employee data in our HR system (“HR Manager”)
  • Prepare input for our internal PowerBI system
  • Follow-up on anniversaries and round Birthdays
  • Assist in creating and follow-up on employee surveys
  • Handle ad hoc questions from employees
  • …and support many other daily HR tasks

 

The ideal candidate lives in Denmark and is pursuing a HR-relevant education – preferably within HR/Communication/Business Administration/Leadership or similar. You are currently studying your bachelor degree or in the first year of your master degree.

We expect you to be fluent in English and Danish (or other Scandinavian language) – both written and spoken.

You are a people-person with an easy smile and a passion for HR.

Further, you are proactive, structured, loyal, detail oriented, flexible, service-minded, eager to learn about HR in practice and live up to your commitments.

It is also important that you are experienced in Microsoft Office programmes and comfortable working with Microsoft Teams.

You can expect to be working approximately 15-20 hours per week. We are flexible around exam periods and if you would like more working hours in a period – then that could be possible – but we will coordinate it as we go along.

You will be based at our headquarter office located at Amager Strandvej 403, 2770 Kastrup. It will also be possible to work from home occasionally depending on the work task. This will be aligned with your leader.
