Capital 4 Impact Foundation (C4IF) is seeking a dynamic and creative Investor Relations Manager to develop and grow its portfolio of social impact investments. C4IF is a for profit foundation funded by Plan International Denmark for developing Impact Investments.

Based on its solid experience in development and impact, Plan International Denmark has founded Capital4Impact Foundation (C4IF), a for profit foundation to achieve even greater impact scale, alongside financial returns. C4IF will use innovative finance to de-risk investments in developing countries, mobilizing private sector capital with both financial return expectations and social impact expectations.

Financial returns are re-invested in C4IF creating a revolving fund that allows us to continue investing in the future, enabling long-term solutions that foster community building and market-based institutions that are needed for sustainable growth. Some of the investment opportunities include blended finance structures, outcome-based funds and a gender lens investing approach implemented by C4IF that is cross section to every financial solution.

The selected candidate will play a significant role in shaping the future of C4IF together with a strong dedicated team from the Plan Internationals Program Department.

How will you contribute to value creation?

As the Investor Relations Manager, you will:

• Identify new business opportunities in the impact investment field.

• Raise capital for projects in the pipeline.

• Develop strategic partnerships to co-invest in impact investment opportunities.

• Prospect and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue leads through networking, references, phone calls, and other means to expand our ecosystem of potential partners.

• Structure Impact Investment Deals: Collaborate with legal and financial teams.

• Identify potential partners to build the Gender Lens Investing ecosystem.

• Write funding applications for submission to foundations and government agencies to develop innovative finance vehicles, such as blended finance or impact linked loans.

• Manage investor relations: Build and maintain relationships with impact investors, providing regular updates on investment performance, impact metrics, and new opportunities.

• Report to Board of Directors: Prepare materials for board meetings, including but not limited to reports on activities, KPIs tracking, time-planning and budget decisions.

What are we looking for?

A person with a strong financial background and experience from a Development Finance Institution, Impact Investment fund, Wealth Manager or family offices, or an Investment Bank for developing countries.

We are also looking for a person who is placed in an investment or corporate finance position but wants to work in an organisation with a stronger purpose.

We expect that you ideally have/are a combination of these skills:

• Masters level education in economics & finance

• Experience with and strong interest in impact investment and current trends in development finance, preferably with countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and MENA region.

• 5+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, or financial sales representative positions.

• Ability to close investment deals.

• Experience in presenting, promoting, and selling financial products using compelling arguments.

• Knowledge/prior experience of funding mechanisms including, blended finance, pay for performance and social finance.

• Innovative and persevering as an entrepreneur. Eager to develop something from scratch.

• Great interpersonal skills able to confidently work in a multi-disciplinary and impact driven team and liaise with investees, co-investors, and partners.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills high-level English both oral and written.

Conditions of employment

• Conditions of employment are based on Danish Labor Law and salary is according to experience.

• International travel of approx. 40 days per year must be expected (depending on national and international travel restrictions).

• The work location is at Capital 4 Impact office in Copenhagen, hosted by Plan International Denmarks office.

• Applicants must be nationals of a European Union member state or otherwise hold a permit to work in Denmark. Work visas cannot be sponsored. Relocation package is not offered.
