Job Description - Project Director at site Odense for Novo Nordisk Engineering

We need you as our new Project Director at site Odense
Join our Project Management area, a team of approximately 450 highly skilled project employees. As part of our global company, you’ll occasionally go on visits abroad. For this you can expect work-related travelling approximately 1-2 weeks yearly. Your daily work will primarily take place in the Odense area, and your base will be at our home zone in Virum or Kalundborg.

How you might spend your days
As Project Director you are motivated to create impact. Your mission is to ensure a safe construction and commissioning site that deliver results, on-time and within budget. On a typical day, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Safety and Compliance: You’ll diligently adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines across all sites. Your focus will be on safeguarding the well-being of employees and maintaining occupational safety standards.
  • Integration and Strategy: You’ll seamlessly integrate the AMK (B) role into site operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you’ll align your actions with NNE’s overall strategy in the Construction/Commissioning areas.
  • Resource Management: Responsible for site management, construction planning, and resource allocation, as you’ll optimize time and economy according to customer expectations. Collaborate with Line and Project Management to prioritize key resources effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Leverage your advanced stakeholder management skills to build strong customer relationships at the local site or business entity. Assist customers in understanding project deliverables and resource requirements.
  • Quality and Compliance: Uphold NNE’s quality system, standards, and methods. Our Model serves as the foundation for execution, ensuring consistent excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Development: Organize site management teams for maximum utilization. Provide valuable feedback and foster the growth of team members.
  • Coordination and Strategy: Work closely with competent construction and commissioning managers to coordinate project activities. Develop robust commissioning strategies alongside the commissioning manager.

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

  • Relevant M.Sc. or B.Sc.
  • 10 years of experience in Site and Construction management, primarily in large process projects.
  • 10 years of experience in project cost monitoring, performance control and proactive risk management.
  • Perhaps you have a recognized management/leadership education.
  • Proven track record overseeing complex projects with teams of up to 30 throughout all project phases from inception to hand over.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
