Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Espoo to take care of our customer accounts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payments. You will be responsible for maintaining accounts receivable records, monitoring outstanding balances, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve any billing discrepancies. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining strong relationships with our clients and providing exceptional customer service to address any inquiries or concerns regarding invoicing and payment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payments:

• Record all payments in compliance the financial accounting processes for Evac Group's operations in Finland.

2. Monitor and manage customer accounts:

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Generate and distribute payment reminders and distribute monthly statements to clients.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

3. Maintain the prepayment account up to date:

• Allocate received prepayments to the invoices in timely manner.
• Reconcile and maintain prepayment account intact.

4. Audit and Internal Controls:

• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.

5. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with various stakeholders across the business to support decision-making processes and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Collaborate with finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience working in finance department preferably in international context.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Fluency in Finnish is a big benefit.
