Job posting end date: 05/05/2024 Introduction We are looking for Design Engineer, Mechanical in Smelting Delivery to join our Engineering management department in Smelting Delivery, Metals Business Area in Espoo, Finland. In this role, you will work with different design activities in our global projects. This role is an excellent chance to learn and offers room for professional growth. In this position, you will report to Director, Engineering Managers, Mechanical and Structural Engineering. This position is mainly located in Espoo, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. The ability to travel occasionally to customer sites is needed. Team you belong to We work closely with stakeholders within the Smelting team, as well as different global teams. Our team culture is all about getting things done – together. What you do You will perform following daily engineering work individually or as a team member: CAD-modelling Production of manufacturing drawings Technical calculations Maintain product structures in PDM Participate in mechanical discipline work in delivery and product development projects Follow the given processes and ensure the quality of your work within the deadlines Support site and workshop activities, participate in R&D and Services activities when required Who you are You have a technical degree (B.Eng., M.Eng. or M.Sc.) You have an understanding of engineering tools such as AutoCad, SolidWorks, Engineering/Product Data management, Microstation You enjoy problem-solving and work well within a team as well as independently You have fluent written and verbal communication skills in English Engineering background and 3D design experience are considered an advantage What's in it for you An inspiring purpose - Enabling sustainable modern life.
