MATERIAL MASTER DATA SPECIALIST

for the Äänekoski Master Data Service Center Team.

As we continue to invest in ICT and with the growing importance of our master data operations in our organization, we are looking for a new professional to join our team.

Metsä Group has Master Data Service Centers in Äänekoski, Finland, and Gdansk, Poland. The Äänekoski Master Data Service Center serves Metsä Group units in the management and maintenance of purchasing data for item descriptions. The Gdansk Master Data Service Center serves Metsä Group units in the management and maintenance of customers, suppliers, travel and finance data. As a Master Data professional in the service center, you will play a key role in developing a higher quality of service and establishing a new, unified way of working for a successful Metsä Group

What do you get to do?

We are currently seeking a full-time Master Data Specialist to join our service center. As a part of this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance your expertise in the material area. The material team is responsible for ensuring the completeness, currency, and high-quality standards of our Material master data. Moreover, the team work towards standardizing data practices across regions and identifying opportunities to optimize the efficiency of the data maintenance process.

As a Master Data Specialist, you will have the opportunity to participate in Metsä Group's ERP+ project. In this project, we are modernizing Metsä Group's systems and harmonizing master data to support the implementation of unified Metsä Group-wide processes across business areas. Additionally, the ERP+ project involves implementing shared data maintenance processes and supporting systems throughout Metsä Group. The Master Data Specialist also has the opportunity to contribute to this work.

In order to succeed

We are looking for a service minded team player with positive attitude, good communication and cooperation skills. You already have several years’ experience of Material Master Data and a strong technical educational background or equivalent technical work experience and knowledge from process industry, e.g. from maintenance or production. It is important that you are proactive, enthusiastic about project work, and motivated to learn. As an individual, you are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and work in a systematic manner. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of other languages is considered a plus. Previous involvement in large-scale system development projects and related data work is also valued.

Continuous Improvement Mindset : We value individuals who embrace innovation and are dedicated to constantly improving processes and procedures. Your ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation will be highly regarded.
