Job Description

  • Define business development strategy for your target segment growth market segments and related focus customers in your dedicated segment and region
  • Contribute to achieving growth target of regional sales by:
    • Defining, along with your management the regional growth strategy and aligning the related market segment budget target (KPIs defined by market segment, by key accounts)
    • Implementing the agreed strategy by reaching the budget target in your segment
    • Drive a strong design in funnel for your segments
  • Establish direct contact and relationships to with Industrial target key customers Industrial for solutions-based promotions and seek feedback on products and (future) customer requirements
  • Drive the customer feedback into the product roadmaps in close alignment with the global corporate functions
  • Provide competition analysis for your market segment in your region
  • Establish thought leadership in your geographical area by positioning and articulating the value proposition of multiple u-blox products in an application
  • Potential involvement in market segment globally, defining global segment strategy and global segment strategy (with GAM and in alignment with the KAM team)
To support the new strategy of our Sales organization in EMEA, we are looking for a Segment Manager Industrial. In this business development role, you will be accountable for the regional revenue growth strategy within our Industrial market segments. In collaboration with the other functions of the regional Sales organization and global corporate functions. Your key objective is to drive a strong design-in funnel growth and maximize the margin of the company comprising of both hardware and services by developing regional segment strategy. By positioning the full solution including Hardware and Services, you build credibility with the customer, based on excellent knowledge of the application requirements, competition and all u-blox products. You will be able to identify the customer problem and propose the right solution for the customer. You will support the Key Account Managers (KAM) within their accounts and channel managers to educate our distribution partners. However, you will also build and drive the opportunity funnel with new focus accounts, where no KAM has been assigned. This is a new position which reports to the Head of Segment Managers EMEA. As part of our matrix organization, you will partner closely not only with the KAM and Channel Team but also with our Product Centers (Product Strategy & R&D) to ensure a close internal alignment about our sales and growth strategy in your market segment. In this respect your excellent interpersonal skills will help you to succeed. This is a unique opportunity to build up and shape a new function and to have a strong impact on the business growth of a well-recognized tech company.
The role is located in Europe, in priority in one of our operating countries and requires regular regional travel. Your Key Responsibilities

Your Skills and Experience
  • Deep technical understanding, Master’s in electrical engineering with 3 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience in the Semi-Conductor Industry
  • Proven business/sales marketing experience with regional responsibility, with direct contact and relationships to key customers, in Europe
  • Proven track record in driving new business ideas and in winning Industrial customers Excellent understanding of hardware and software products as well as of IoT and solution services
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to find your way and to perform in a matrix environment
  • You are a problem solver and strive for quality while achieving results
  • You know how to establish yourself as a thought leader and are not afraid of going innovative and experimental ways
  • Proficient English communication skills. Other languages like German are an asset
  • Swiss-or-EU-citizen
