Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔

As our Engineering Manager you’lllead our User Management squad (UM). This is a cross-functional team that consists of 6  front-end & back-end engineers. UM is responsible for our Sign-in / Sign-up flows and as a result of all Auth(z) for our customer-facing Platform. The team is also responsible for the back-office application of our SaaS business, utilized by Customer Success, Research and Revenue. 

The team uses Go for the backend and React / Typescript on the front-end. We use Google Cloud as our provider and we deploy our apps and microservices in K8s. Google’s PubSub is used for message brokering and we extensively use Grafana’s stack for monitoring and observability. We are looking for a leader with great technical skills, empathy and passion for managing people.

It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.

What do I need to bring with me? 🧳

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:

👉 Proven professional experience as an Engineering Manager / Team Lead.

👉 Track record of delivering successful non-trivial software projects and experience with full development life-cycle from ideation to production deployment

👉 Strong fundamentals around the web platform as a whole (HTTP/S, REST, Web performance & security).

👉 Hands-on approach and ability to gain quick insight into the technical and data problems

👉 Experience with back-end technologies and frameworks (e.g Java, C#, Go, Python, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, NodeJS/Express)

👉 Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks such as React, Typescript, and micro-frontends.

It would be great if you also have:

👉 Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design

👉 DevOps mindset

👉 Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems
