Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse and Logistics Officer to join our Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of our warehouse operations and ensuring the safe and timely transfer of equipment to our customers. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Warehouse and Logistics Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient inventory management and logistics processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
- Loading, unloading, transporting, and delivering equipment to customers or businesses in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying quantities and quality of items received.
- Preparing items for shipment to customers, other sites, or for return to vendors.
- Preparing/ inputting information on receipts of goods in ERP System.
- Implementing and enforcing best practices for warehouse safety and security to prevent accidents and loss of inventory.
- Conducting regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Collaborating with the Purchasing Manager, Accounts Department, the sales, and customer service Teams to address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to product delivery or returns.
- Maintaining documentation and records related to warehouse operations, including receipts, invoices, and delivery reports.
- Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklift etc.
- Maintaining good housekeeping of equipment, receiving areas, and storage areas.
Skills & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Forklift driving certificate will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in a similar job will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of Navision ERP will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
