Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for, supporting the Manager, in delivering of regular and advanced traffic analytics to keep track of the latest air traffic market positioning of HKIA with data insights through reporting, dashboards, flight databases and traffic studies.

• Handle Department’s regular/ ad-hoc traffic and market analytical work to monitor closely HKIA's competitive market positioning, including airport charges and other specific requests from Corporate Development Division/ internal Departments/ external stakeholders
• Extract, manage and deep-dive into subscribed third-party aviation traffic databases
• Provide complex analytical and research support to annual, 5-Year and longer term traffic forecasts and market outlook
• Prepare multiple datasets for the newly launched AIRSTAT3, and new capabilities will be added to the existing suite of analytics
• Operate, fine-tune and monitor for operations performance and air traffic dashboards for detecting new trends and anomalies

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Aviation, Data science/ analytics, Economics or Statistics
• Experience in programming/ Airport economics will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in research, business analysis or planning is preferred
• Passion with data and analytics with data mining and visualization experience
• Mission critical system experience, airport charges will be advantageous
• Mature, ability to conduct tasks independently
• Detail-oriented, good communication skills & team player
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua preferred
