Assistant Manager (IT Applications)

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving application development and delivery, and managing multiple SDLC that includes defining and managing application architecture, working with the business/product owners/BA to shape product vision and roadmap, designing and developing applications based on agreed scope and timeline, sustaining all applications and maintaining agreed SLA, as well as providing on-site support for business operations. He/ She will assist in strategic planning on application landscape and resources management. Also, he/ she will manage internal users and external vendors for application development and support, and assist in internal and external audit tasks.

Requirements

Degree holder or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines

Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience

Expertise in web-based application development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, RESTful Web Services

Strong hands-on ability in server-side technologies (e.g. ASP.NET C#, Java 8+, PHP, Node.JS, etc.)

Strong ability in SQL development (MSSQL / PostgreSQL / MySQL)

Experience in the following is an advantage:

Azure / AWS

.NET Core, NuGet, Reporting tool, such as Crystal Reports, Power BI, Qlik

Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Tomcat, JasperReports, Maven / Gradle, Microservice

jQuery / Bootstrap / Angular and Responsive Design

Low Code development, such as Power Platform, OutSystems

Git, Docker, Jenkins

Agile methodology and Application security frameworks

Experience in leading subordinate and project task management

Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese
