Job Description

  • Be the overall Wealth and Pension IT solution delivery SPOC related IT initiatives, providing holistic coverage for all deliveries for respective business units
  • End to end accountability for applications developed and supported.
  • Program management for multiple projects with appropriate governance and control
  • Manage shared service delivery operations.
  • Define, design and support the implementation of the technology architecture and digital roadmap, which can support business vision and objectives.
  • Guide the application, digital and infrastructure delivery teams to ensure that the technology architecture roadmap and related principle and decisions are followed at the time of implementation. 
  • Manage strategic vendors to augment technology delivery capabilities.
  • Be responsible for P&L management for the technology portfolio.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of technology experience in a financial services organization, with a minimum of 5 years in leading 20+ team size
  • Deep understanding of the pension (MPF) domain. Over 5 years of Industry experience in Pension and/or Financial Services Business
  • Hands on experience in leading technology operations
  • Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial services solutions, including digital applications, cloud computing, business transformation, solution architecture and design, etc.
  • Strong vendor management capabilities
  • Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, and with a broad range of platforms, including transitioning from legacy systems to digital
  • Understanding of common patterns, frameworks, and reference architectures for financial services domain
  • Experience in developing IT roadmaps with senior executives and able to influence and communicate effectively on the adoption of technologies for innovations
  • Proven experience in using Agile approach for development with frequent sprints for business benefits realization
  • Strong appreciation of and proven commitment to achieving and exceeding business objectives by selecting appropriate technology solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage conversations at all levels of senior management
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with business
  • Demonstrated problem solving, communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the proven ability to negotiate and influence others to obtain desired results. Strong professional consulting skills
  • Ability to speak in business terms, as well as the ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally in English and Cantonese
  • Mature, confident, and performance-oriented
  • Capable of developing strong relationships with all levels of management
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills for large complicated and broad issues and able to work independently.
  • Complex environment with a mix of technologies and different levels of IT maturities in each business unit.
