Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing requirements and provide guidance on procurement processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and evaluate their performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and service standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through supplier consolidation, negotiation, and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies that may impact procurement decisions.
- Prepare and analyze reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or similar role, with a track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are a plus.
