About Our Client

My client is one of the largest global banks in the world. They have offices worldwide and a large presence in Hong Kong. They are a commercial bank with businesses in retail banking, wealth management, commercial banking, treasury services, and private banking.

Job Description

• This role will report directly to the Chief Executive with 4 to 5 direct team leader reports
• This role will sit within their 2nd line of defence regulatory compliance function
• The main duties include senior stakeholder management, support chief executive on all regulatory and general compliance matters, provide advisory to all business lines with a strong focus on retail bank, and liaise with HK regulators
• take part in regulatory compliance initiatives and projects
• responsible for compliance frameworks and banks' risk appetite

The Successful Applicant

• bachelor degree
• 15+ years of regulatory/general compliance experience from bank
• Must have strong retail banking experience
• Must have exposure to corporate banking and global markets compliance
• Must be articulate, strong, and proactive
• Must have strong management and leadership skills
• Must have experiences in managing senior stakeholders
• Must be fluent in Chinese and English
