The Account Management Analyst is responsible for maintaining, targeting, and selling Firm services to existing clients. This is accomplished by “quarterbacking” the entire sales process within assigned accounts (typically 50-100 accounts) through disciplined Account Management practices. These practices include the development of opportunity-specific sales strategy; development of client account expansion plans; and selection of pursuit teams to maintain current Firm revenue/services and identify expansion opportunities. Clients/accounts assigned will typically be a mix of transactional and growth potential single service clients, with the expectation the Account Analyst will begin to expand the number of Firm services provided
Essential Duties
Development and execution of client account plans to take into consideration cross functional service opportunities as well as securing current services/revenue provided to the client.
Achieve stated growth goals through demonstrated knowledge of service offerings, account plan execution and sales process best practices implementation.
Stay abreast of changing service offerings, bundle services across RSM. Develop and maintain a comprehensive network of internal subject matter experts across the spectrum of consulting services.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of client opportunities that meets the North American Sales organization pipeline requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
• Formal sales process training (consultative selling, solution-based selling, complex sales, or related consultative selling approaches required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
• CRM experience for sales and/or account management application and requirements required.
• Ability to develop industry knowledge using Firm data, training and thought leadership.
EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 2 years of professional services sales and/or account management is required, preferably in a consulting firm/accounting firm environment
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
• Demonstrated ability to lead a comprehensive and often complex sales process involving multiple internal resources and external decision-makers required.
• Leadership in this role is based on influence and subject matter expertise rather than formal leadership roles or reporting lines .
