Business Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions on AWS, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand BI requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement scalable data models optimized for reporting and analytics needs. Create and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data manipulation, transformation, and aggregation.
• Build and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using BI tools such as AWS QuickSight and Microsoft PowerBI.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all BI solutions.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business decision making.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members on BI best practices and AWS technologies.
•  Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI technologies and tools

Skills

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a BI Engineer, with a focus on AWS cloud technologies, and experience and knowledge on Microsoft PowerBI technology is a plus.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, AWS Glue, etc is a plus
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages like Python, SQL, and experience with data manipulation and transformation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement creative solutions for complex data challenges.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in working with Agile methodologies and version control systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education and Certification

• Bachelors or associate degree in IT discipline
• Certification in AWS Certified: Solution Architect Associate or AWS Certified: Data Engineer is added advantage.
