Job Description :

Quantity Surveyor / Building Surveyor (3-8 years experience). The requirements :
Education – B.Tech in civil or Master in construction.

• Preferably should have minimum 2-3 years of execution experience at Site.
• Preferably have completed at least one project with complete life cycle.
• Prior experience preparing pre- and post-contract construction estimates.
• Preparation of capital and operating expense estimates in accordance with relevant standards such as Method of Measurement for Building and transportation Works, IS1200, CESMM4, NRM01/02/03, RMM01/02, SMM07, AACE, and so on.
• Preparing quantity take-offs for various types of projects based on specifications/available drawings or any other software information.
• Creation of an assumption and exclusion list base estimate for the project's initial phases.
• Examine drawings and prepare an RFI for estimation queries.
• Preparation of the BOQ & Estimates in accordance with the applicable standards.
• Understanding of relevant rates, as well as rate benchmarking against other projects of a similar nature.
• Assurance of contractor estimates in terms of quantity, rate, risk and opportunity, inflation, and indirect works, among other things.
• Preparation of an assurance report indicating the Surveyors observations.
• Provide clients with recommendations for improvements, strategies, and/or cost estimates.
• Provide procurement strategy advice to the client.
• Identify potential financial or construction risks and keep a commercial risk register up to date.
• Create Purchase orders, Work orders, tender and contract documents for contractors and consultants.
• Should be competent in certification of Contractors payment applications.
• Identify the change and prepare change order estimates with rates.
• Competent in preparing rate analysis for all types of civil works of buildings.

The responsibilities  :
• Competent delivery of all contractual and technical aspects of projects with minimum supervision including the delegation and management of junior team members.
• Supporting the senior managers in the day-to-day running of the business.
• Maintenance of Commercial and Quality Control Procedures for projects. 
• Working across multiple projects in different sectors and being able to deliver a range of building surveying duties.
• The use and application of standard forms of building codes, such as NRM 1 & 2, SMM, etc.,
•  Knowledge of preparation of Bill of Quantities and cost estimation.
• Sound Technical Building Surveying knowledge and due diligence works in both Pre and Post survey deliverables.
• Experience managing clients and their expectations coupled with a strong understanding of profitability.
• Good AutoCAD skills & MS office a must. Preferably knowledge of Cost-X Software skills are added advantage. To do well in this role and help shape our business, you'll need to be able to demonstrate the following :
