Role Purpose: | |||
To lead the definition of testing strategy plans and execution till release across multiple product modules ensure stakeholder management build team capabilities and provide guidance for solution keeping in mind best in class testing methodologies and protocols | |||
Areas of Responsibility: | |||
Testing Strategy & Planning | Collaborate with senior management and guide the definition of testing strategy roadmap and plans across product modules and share industry expertise related to the same Review resourcing requirements across various testing teams and product modules and deploy manpower accordingly; plan for recruitment based on estimated pipeline and volumes Review the availability of testing tools hardware software and network configurations used during testing and provide approvals for testing tool/technology upgrades based on costbenefit analysis; seek inputs from leadership as necessary Lead the establishment of criteria for key scenarios to test for all possible use cases simulation of end users performance test data and review metrics on a regular basis | ||
Testing Governance | Oversee adherence to testing standards protocols and processes and share recommendations based on industry trends and expertise; address any deviations from established standards Conduct periodic reviews of test objectives acceptance criteria goals workload profiles and use case scenarios and review suggestions from the team for continuous improvement of the same Review and investigate escalated items from the team and drive changes in testing policies/protocols if needed; raise red flags to leadership team and track closure of pending items Conduct weekly reviews with the team related to dashboard metrics (productivity effort deviation schedule deviation etc.) and act as the conduit between the testing teams and leadership to cascade findings and feedback | ||
Process Improvement | Monitor automation activities for testing processes and drive innovation to improve performance engineering effectiveness; introduce new tools and technologies to streamline operations Stay abreast of industry trends and share best practices with the larger team; create case studies and training modules to drive improvement plans. Evaluate and continuously implement best in class practices to improve process efficiency | ||
Stakeholder Management | Identify and shortlist 3rd party vendors/ partners for specialized testing requirements and certifications Lead contract management negotiate and finalize the terms along with finance teams | ||
People Management | Manage mentor and inspire a team and team members including managing performance goals and development potential and evaluate potential new talent Provide support to resolve conflict between multiple work streams / groups; provide inputs on goal setting and performance appraisals of team members; identify training needs for associates based on the business / client requirements Oversee training sessions to enhance product / domain knowledge for team members; Identify new training requirements based on skill gaps and industry trends | ||
