Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The India accounting team is searching for a Senior Accountant. This person will report to the Assistant Controller/Manager and be responsible for the general accounting, forecasting and financial reporting for PACCAR India.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• This person will be responsible for general accounting and financial analysis.
• Prepare various journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review office spending and reconcile payments to the bank statement.
• Record vendor payment detail provided.
• Compile and analyse overhead spending.
• Analyse monthly financial results and prepare management reporting package.
• Prepare monthly financial forecast.
• Support annual budgeting process.
• Support local tax such as GST, audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinating with auditors for timely closure of statutory audit and tax audit.
• Participate in Internal Control reviews, SOX testing and various special projects and ad hoc reports as assigned.

Education & Training

REQUIRED:

• Certified Charter Accountant
• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong understanding of relevant Indian accounting standards (I-GAAP), with a knowledge of US GAAP a plus
• Minimum 3+ years of work experience

DESIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Public Accounting or audit experience with Big 4
