We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Sales and Use Tax practice in our Mumbai office. What it Means to Work for great team • You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industry • You will have the flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balance • You will join a culture that has received multiple top “Places to Work” awards • We believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create new solutions • We understand that embracing our differences is what unites us as a team and strengthens our foundation • Showing up authentically is how we, both as professionals and a Firm, find inspiration to do our best work • Numerous Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) efforts What Work You Will be Responsible For: • Managing sales tax compliance process for clients sales tax returns • Interacting with clients and managing staff • Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues • Notice resolution and business licenses for clients Basic Qualifications: • 8+ years experience with sales tax compliance • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field a plus • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills • Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex, Avalara, One Source or TaxJar etc. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Alteryx or Power BI a plus; QuickBooks, Shopify and Stripe platforms • Understanding of sales and use tax issues, including exemption, deductions, prepayments, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries. • Experience working directly with clients and global counterparts. Preferred/Desired Qualifications: • CMI (sales tax) designation a plus • Masters in Taxation preferred
