About the Company

It is a leading transportation company with a fleet of approx100 trucks. Company operates on North India to West India route in full truck load category. 

Company has all Heavy Commercial vehicles with  GVW 28tons, 35tons, 42tons

Truck Brands and models:  

Tata: 3118, 3718, 3521, 4221

Eicher: 6031, 6037, 6035

Job Role: Workshop Manager 

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for coordinating with drivers to understand repairs needed on trucks.

2. Preparing repair job sheets and monitoring repairs

3. Performing and documenting inspections of Tyres, completing schedule maintenance, inspecting truck documents, body and paint repairs etc.

4. Arranging parts for conducting repairs, keeping inventory of parts and bills

5. Following up with mechanics, electricians etc for completing repairs on time

6. Managing a route breakdown with local mechanics and workshops

7. Coordinating with workshop managers, area CSM for scheduling workshop visits and confirming availability of parts, vehicle reporting, timely completion of repairs, payments

8. Inspecting Tyres for claim, dealing with Tyre OEM for claim settlement

9. Sale of metal and Tyre scrap

10. Ensuring fleet uptime at company standards

11. Preparing monthly MIS reports on formats provided, meeting with OEMs to improve uptime of fleet.

Experience:

At least 5 years' experience in heavy commercial vehicles repair at TATA / Eicher Workshop or a large fleet owning company.

Expected to be well versed with all major parts of trucks including - engine, clutch, gear, crown, electrical.

Skills:

1. Strong Communication skills 

2. Comfortable with MS Office (Excel and Word)

3. Should be fluent in Hindi and English (Read and write)

Salary:  According to industry standard

1. Floor managers, CSM's, Workshop managers of TATA and Eicher Workshops  

2. Repair managers at other large fleet owning transport companies - Varuna, Kapoor Diesel, Express Roadways, Delhi Assam (DARCL), Ritco, Okara Roadways, VRC Logistics, ABC Express, Singhal Transport Corporation, Caravan Roadways etc.
