Job Description - Accounts Administrator

Accounts Administrator

To ensure the smooth and effective running of the accounts administration function.

Job Type: Part Time Permanent  
Location: Bagenalstown, Carlow
Salary: DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
  • Bank Transfer / Bank Reconciliations
  • Sales Invoices / Purchase Invoices
  • Reconciling credits as agreed
  • Journal vouchers
  • Communicating with debtors / creditors to the agreed timescale
  • Running payroll for a small number of staff
  • Adhering to the agreed company procedures and timescales

Skills/Experience:

  • Good communicator
  • Team player
  • Initiative
  • Sense of urgency
  • Flexible
  • MS Excel, Word
  • Exposure to Sage or Quick Books (or similar type software)

Duties:
Weekly admin & bookkeeping services

  • Processing of Supplier invoices
  • Confirming supplier invoices against deliveries in
  • Investigating discrepancies on Purchase Orders v Invoices
  • Scheduling supplier payments
  • Reconciliation of Supplier
  • Weekly & Monthly payroll processing, Revenue returns and payments
  • Bi-monthly VAT returns
  • VAT RTD returns
  • Maintaining NL accounts
  • Posting accounts journals monthly
  • Posting bank receipts
  • Posting bank payments
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts IRL
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts Stg
  • Posting Accruals & payments monthly
  • Reconciling & maintaining accounting ledger accounts & balances
  • Petty cash recording and posting
  • Intrastat reports
  • VIES reports
  • Reconciliation of credit card monthly and posting payments
  • Reporting on Debtors
  • Reporting on Creditors
  • Weekly cashflow management and reporting
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset register
  • Relevant duties that will occur as part of the role
