Keelings Graduate Growth
The Keelings Graduate Growth programme is specifically designed to equip high-performing graduates with the skills and experience needed to excel in the FMCG industry and grow their career with Keelings. Graduates are hired into a specific (not rotational), permanent role aligned to their Degree/Masters level education, across one our six Irish business units. Whilst learning vital 'on the job' skills, graduates will be supported by a Keelings Group wide graduate development programme, project initiatives and social activities. Keelings Graduate Growth programme commences in September 2024. If successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in our Graduate Assessment Centre mid/end June as the first stage in our recruitment process. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Deliver best practice crop management strategies
Crop Health (Climate and irrigation).
Pollinator interactions.
Pest monitoring and mitigation.
Conduct extensive crop monitoring
Production monitoring (Plant development data mapping)
Pest / predator interactions (Pest population mapping)
Harvest forecasting improvement project
Deliver best practice manuals for the implementation of agri-tech tools
Climate and irrigation management systems
Energy management systems
Applications control systems
Field monitoring systems
Other growing data capture tools and systems
Deliver best practice compliance
Actively promote through your actions and activities, food safety and accreditation standards throughout our production systems
Actively promote environmental protection policies throughout our production systems.
Actively manage farm record keeping processes within your areas.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Yield: Crop Summary reports delivered weekly to support Growers deliver crops in line with programme / Budget.
- Crop Health: Crop monitoring weekly to ensure any crop management deficiencies are identified prior to impacting on desirable outcomes.
- Resource efficiency: Monitoring of crop inputs and their impact, identifying optimal crop input strategies (i.e. Agrochemicals, bio logicals, Heat & Labour)
- Cost of Production: Supporting growing team, through timely and accurate information to support appropriate management decision making processes.
- Environmental impact: Support Farms team in determining crop management strategies impact on our environment through monitoring practices and reporting on KPIs and mitigations opportunities.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Essential :
Must have level 8 or 9 qualification in one of the below disciplines (graduated within the last 2 years)
- Agricultural Science
- Ecology
- Environmental science
- Soil science
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be able to perform well under pressure in an ever-changing environment
Highly accurate and fine attention to detail essential
Candidates must speak fluent English. Additional language skills would also be desirable.
Candidate will need their own transport as this role is primarily based in St Margaret's, Co Dublin
