Our client is seeking an experienced E H & S Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the EHS Manager in ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Train employees on safety procedures and provide ongoing support and guidance
Monitor and report on environmental, health and safety performance to management
Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near misses
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
Participate in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related field
Preferably 1 - 2 years manufacturing experience
Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
Train the Trainer / Occupational First Aid
Other information:
Hours of Work: 8am - 4:30pm
