Our client is the Irish office of a global IT company with a team of fifty staff in Ireland and over 6,000 worldwide. Awarded one of the Best Places to Work, the Irish office offers a busy, friendly and positive working culture. They now require a Financial Controller who will work with the Finance Director to manage the Dublin finance team and drive improvement in the efficiency, quality and robustness of financial reporting and management information across the business. An excellent opportunity to add value and contribute to a highly successful growing company. The role is offered on a hybrid basis with only 1-2 days per month required in the office in Dublin city centre.

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing a finance team of four and ensuring the timely and accurate production of financial information and accounts
• Delivery of a timely and accurate month-end close including ensuring general ledgers are accurately maintained
• Preparation and production of the monthly group reporting pack
• Prepare, manage and control the weekly cash forecasting process
• Manage all other aspects of Irish accounting processes, including finance operations, intercompany recharge process, and payroll
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements including audit preparations, statutory account preparations, VAT returns, and corporation tax calculation are met
• Provide commercial support to the Sales team and support to the Finance Director
• Contribute to forecasting and budgeting

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or similar
• Experience within the IT sector preferable
• Strong background in the production of management accounts and financial statements, experience with audit and tax
• Experience in Opera, or similar ERP system preferable
• Experience in a multi-national or large corporate environment preferable
• Exposure to multi-currency processes
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Motivated and dedicated accountant capable of working within a deadline driven environment and on their own initiative, proactive and self-starting
