Job Description - Financial Services Consultant

My Client is seeking a target-driven Sales Advisor to achieve their sales objectives. This role involves planning and implementing sales strategies, developing and managing client portfolios, and advising clients on their financial planning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of new clients.
  • Advise clients and make recommendations based on their financial planning needs.
  • Maintain and build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Generate new business opportunities and work towards achieving company-set targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide tailored solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Leverage industry connections to develop business and optimize sales opportunities.
  • Actively refer and promote opportunities within other business areas.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and internal teams to identify sales and marketing campaign opportunities.
  • Support the BDM in reinforcing a consistent sales approach across the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales role providing financial planning or advise within the pensions or financial services sector.
  • Minimum QFA qualification; CFP or progress towards CFP is desirable.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility for achieving sales targets.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude focused on sales, service, and client satisfaction.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding challenging sales targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the life and pensions industries.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of life and pension products.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a professional, customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and empathetic individual who can contribute positively to the Business Development team.
  • Highly organized, capable of working under pressure, and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory environments.
  • Must own a car and hold a full, clean driving license. Nationwide travel may be required.
