We are currently recruiting for an experienced Section Head Chef to oversee the day-to-day operation of our fine dining outlet The Cove at Fota Island Resort. Extensive knowledge of ingredient sourcing, quality, and seasonality Ability to collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional guest experiences. Experience in managing budgets and maintaining cost controls. Ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in high volume and fast-paced environment Responsibilities: Manage the day to day running of The Cove outlet including food preparation, ingredient sourcing, quality control Control the menu costings within the outlet to ensure profitability and in line with food G.P. and K.P.I.'S Execute the Culinary Strategy of the Executive Head Chef to meet the business and operational standards of the resort Designing and planning of menus based on seasonal products and creativity. Training and mentoring of chef team to ensure individual professional development and succession planning Maintain effective and positive feedback to all colleagues Ensure consistency of service to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests Ensure all HACCP regulations are adhered to The ideal candidate should be a hands-on proactive manager capable of leading and motivating a team of Chefs to excel and exceed in the delivery of exceptional food whilst maintaining consistency. You will be an ambitious person responsible for creating an environment that promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have pride and commitment in their work.
