We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our client's thriving hardware and construction store to new heights in Limerick.

Our client is an established and rapidly growing business and the General Manager will be fully responsible for leading and delivering optimal delivery of operational standards across the site through the achievement of commercial targets in various departments. The job holder will lead a customer-focused team across to fully deliver the required services and support the business and its stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the store, ensuring efficient and effective management.
• Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and the local community.
• Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a management role within the hardware, construction, or retail industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• A positive can-do, resilient and flexible attitude.
• Proficiency in inventory management and merchandising.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
